IFORS XV in 1999

Program Committee Chairman for IFORS XV : Prof. Paolo Toth, Italy
Organizing Committee Chairman for IFORS XV : Prof. Xiang Sun-Zhang, China.

Members of the Administrative Committee met with the Chinese delegation during the Vancouver Conference and preparations are well underway. The President, the Treasurer, the Secretary and the Program Committee Chairman, Paolo Toth, will go to China this fall to look at conference venues. Dates for the Conference are August 16-20, 1999.

IFORS 2002

Three countries have expressed an interest in hosting the 2002 conference : Germany (Berlin), Switzerland (Geneva) and United Kingdom (Edinburgh).

WWW

RAPP (IFORS WWW editor) reported that each week the IFORS WWW page is visited by about 1800 and encouraged the Member Societies to send to him their e-mail and WWW addresses to link these with the IFORS WWW page. Also, information on events organized by the Member Societies would be most welcome since he was attempting to set up a calendar of events. He is also, in cooperation with the Coordinator Developing Countries, Elise del Rosario, presently investigating the possibility of setting up a database for developing countries on the IFORS WWW page.
